The Role

 

We are seeking an energetic, empathetic, and detail-oriented OLP Support Officer to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a bridge between specialized learning support, faculty collaboration, and student advocacy. You will help drive differentiated instruction, coordinate testing accommodations, and design individual support pathways that align with our commitment to holistic education and academic excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Student Profiles & Support Plans

• Design and implement tailored Individual Learning Plans (ILP) and Individual Support Plans (ISP).
• Develop personalized student schedules and conduct regular check-ins with students and families.
• Draft targeted, needs-based lesson plans and provide direct assistance within OLP classes.

Student Support & Accommodations

• Ensure seamless provision of classroom and assessment accommodations as outlined in ILPs.
• Coordinate and supervise testing accommodations within the OLP Testing Center.
• Create enrichment and enhancement opportunities for high-ability/gifted learners.
• Deliver dynamic push-in support in mainstream content classrooms.

Collaboration & Advocacy

• Partner closely with content-area faculty to model differentiation and adaptive teaching strategies.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with parents and educators regarding student progress and behavioral observations.
• Provide continuous feedback to teachers to optimize classroom instruction for neurodivergent learners.

Testing Center Coordination

• Manage day-to-day operations and supervision of the OLP Testing Center.
• Maintain and update the Testing Center Handbook and coordinate school-wide MAP testing logistics.
• Serve as the main point of contact for teachers regarding assessment schedules.

Program Operations & Training

• Deliver professional development sessions and present best practices to school faculty.
• Mentor and train new learning support aides as needed.
• Assist the Head of OLP with operational coordination, workflow alignment, and internal communications.

 

Documentation & Compliance

• Review incoming psycho-educational evaluation reports to extract actionable accommodations.
• Maintain highly confidential student records and update institutional Standards & Benchmarks.
• Ensure faculty members have secure, timely access to updated ILP/ISP documentation.
• Attend weekly OLP team meetings, Wednesday faculty meetings, and annual events (e.g., Back to School Night).
• Undertake additional tasks aligned with the department's mission as assigned by the Head of OLP.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with diverse learning profiles within a school or educational setting.
• Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; knowledge of Greek is considered an asset.
